Thirty two pupils of Chateau Public school received eighth grade diplomas in a packed auditorium ceremony last Friday night. Principal Ruby A. Miller presided as Anna E. Stafford county official spoke on high school entry, loyalty and good citizenship. Diplomas were presented by J. J. Hannan with songs and plays by the student groups marking the event.

Principal Ruby Miller issued a statement after confusion over which students earned eighth grade completion. Of 32 in the class, 27 are eligible for high school, while five must pass an achievement test by September 1930 to enter high school, or retake the grade. After the Choteau public schools closed, Miss Ruby A. Miller announced that all but three of last year’s staff were rehired. New assignments include Miss Elsie Maas to seventh grade, Mrs. Helen Thompson for eighth grade, and Mrs. B. K. Lawson as music teacher. County Commissioners Hold Regular June Session Actions
The county commissioners met across Monday to Wednesday for the June session handling auditing claims and routine business. Judges for the upcoming primary were named, road petitions reviewed, herd district 6 expanded toward Fairfield, and herd district 7 created with hearings set for July 9. Reclassifications approved, Elmer Smith named chief inspector for Dutton, and Pondera Utilities to install a gas burner at the courthouse for a year with oil burner restored if gas proves costly.

Algon Udin Seeks County Commissioner Nomination
