Dutton Farmer Claude Mainard Dies in Falls
Funeral services for Claude B. Mainard, 63, a Dutton farmer who died last Thursday at a Great Falls hospital, were held Monday at 2 pm at Croxford's in Cheat Falls. Rev. D F Redfield officiated. Cremation followed. Born February 17, 1890 in Sullivan Illinois, he came to Great Falls in 1912 and homesteaded southeast of Dutton. Survivors include wife Clara, five children Clayton Off Denver Glen Chatham Robert Fort Shaw Dorothy Lindsey of Dutton and Ruth Johnson of Great Falls, five grandchildren, three brothers Will of Conrad Harlow of Plummer Minnesota and Johnnie of Butte, and one sister Ruth Hunt of Denver.

Walter Arensmeyer of Chateau won the Montana state junior title at the fourth annual Montana model airplane contest in Missoula sponsored by Montana Plymouth car dealers. He earned an expense paid trip to Detroit to join the international contest August 20 to 25 and received the perpetual junior trophy. He placed first in Class BC free flight and Class A free flight and second in free flight 14 A at Montana State University campus near Missoula.
