In Magistrate Sulgrove's court on July 17 Gus C Thornshaw received a five day suspended sentence for drunkenness and nuisance. In Justice William Irvin's court Joe East Base was fined 250 dollars for reckless driving. Harold F Geeme paid ten dollars for exceeding the night speed limit as noted by Patrolman Blewett. Charles Crawford Jr and Wesley Robert Ruzining were each fined 200 dollars with Crawford also fined 25 dollars for failing to report an accident.

Nolan Killed in Farm Accident at Ed Yeager Ranch
Tom Nolan, a farm head at the Ed Yeager ranch, died yesterday morning when a new emery wheel shattered during a sickle grinder operation at the old Smith place. County officials investigate and search for relatives in Glacier County. Nolan is reported to be a war veteran. The body lies at Banks Funeral Home.

Jury Drawn for Dryman Murder Trial in Toole County
District Judge R M Hattersley told County Attorney Ino Murphy he will be in Chateau on Monday July 26 to draw a jury for the Dryman murder case set for August 30. Dryman, 22, has been thrice sentenced to death in Toole County, and a new trial was ordered by the Montana Supreme Court on April 29, later remanding for trial in another county.
