Second Troop of Boy Scouts Is Instituted Here
Troop No. 52, Boy Scouts of America, was instituted at the Chateau court house with J. C. Morgan presiding over the court of honor and Field Executive Russell Conklin in charge. Ten Choteau youths joined as tenderfoot or second class scouts, joining Troop 51 in the ceremony sponsored by the Rod and Gun club.

Delinquent Taxes Hit 130000 in County Report
The county end of November 1929 shows total delinquent taxes of 130 016.84 with 97 624.38 from the Bynum irrigation district. Excluding Bynum the county delinquency is 6.55 percent, including Bynum it reaches 26.32 percent. Bynum paid nearly 45 000 in 1928 taxes during November. The 1929 county tax charge totals 494 641.30 and current taxes collected through December 1 amount to 229 327.94.

Ed Halberg Passes Here Thursday Eve
Ed Halberg longtime Montana rancher near Choteau and Bole died last Thursday night in Choteau hospital after pernicious anemia. Born August 21, 1883 in Stillwater Minnesota he homesteaded in Teton County in 1910 with brother Louis. He married Hulda Holm in 1913 and had no children. Survived by siblings and step parents in Oregon and Minnesota. Funeral at Methodist church, interment at Chateau cemetery beside his wife.

John Hentges of the Chateau Hardware company plans a Saturday departure for Chicago to attend business. From there he will travel north to Cheboygan Wisconsin to visit his parents Mr and Mrs Albert Hentges whom he has not seen in over two years. His mother, in her seventies, has been in poor health and bedbound recently.
Farm Shop School for Adults Might Be Offered
The Teton county high school's vocational agriculture department sent a questionnaire to over two hundred farmers near Chateau to gauge interest in a Saturday farm shop school for adults. If approved, the program would cover tool sharpening harness repair machine repair shop arithmetic woodwork and related skills to help adults solve shop problems or repair farm equipment. Enrollees would be adults not in all day school and at least sixteen, with no fees charged. Interested individuals should write to the county high school agriculture department for details.
