Poultry Shippers Set Prices for January Turkey Shipment
The Ton Shipping association released price levels for the annual January shipment of turkeys and other poultry. Young toms 34c, young hens 31c, old hens 28c, old toms 27c, capons 36c, other poultry 25c to 36c. Loading planned Monday at Choteau and Tuesday at Dutton. trucks may move birds to Great Falls for car loading.

Manhattan Marionettes Postponed to Tuesday Evening
The Manhattan Marionettes will perform at the high school auditorium Tuesday evening January 28 as the third number of the lyceum course. Delayed by a stalled train near Geraldine, they could not reach Great Falls in time for Chateau. Tickets are on sale at Rexall.

The Club formed from K. E. Sturgis young men's Sunday school class met Tuesday night at the church. After a waffle supper there were songs and speeches. Burt Wells spoke on the church and the community. Honorary guest W. G. Bloomdahl talked on Responsibility. The evening was reported very enjoyable.

Mrs Elizabeth Smith Dies at Warm Springs Sanitarium
Telegram from Warm Springs reports death of Mrs Elizabeth Smith wife of T A Smith of this city from erysipelas. She was about 66 or 68, an old resident who ran a millinery and store business with her husband before 1928. No children survive. The couple left for Warm Springs to attend the funeral.

Deep Creek Livestock Association Reelects Officers
The Deep Creek Livestock association held its annual meeting at Supervisor W. E. Lockhart’s office in the Lewis and Clark National Forest with near universal attendance. James Peebles was re-elected president and Vincent Ward secretary-treasurer. The group voted a 60 cent per head cattle levy for salt purchases and distribution, set June 16 as the new grazing season opening, and Sept. 30 as the cattle removal date from the forest.

Old Time Roundup Cook Thomas Glavey Dies
Thomas Glavey longtime roundup and cow camp cook died Friday at Chateau hospital after a week there from a chronic spinal ailment leaving him paralyzed for over a year. Born June 12 1872 in Utica New York he later ran restaurants in Grandville North Dakota and Devils Lake. He left six children James Mary Peter Annie Alice Katheryn and a wife survived by one brother Peter in Ottawa. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Catholic church and burial was in Choteau cemetery.

Lions Vote to Cooperate With Fun Feed Committee
At the Chateau Lions club regular meeting last night at the Beaupre hotel cafe a committee was appointed with power to act to cooperate with the fun feed committee. After luncheon C. L. Miller of the high school faculty sang two vocal solos and Jesse Malone played two trumpet solos. K. E. Sturgis manager of the J. C. Penney store gave a talk titled Our Most Important Crop.

Great Western Sheep Prospects Thriving In Cold Weather
R E McAllister secretary treasurer of the Great Western Sheep and Wool company spent the forepart of the week in Chateau. He unloaded a car of corn and had a portion moved to the Harry Odenwald place where the company is feeding about 1050 head of lambs. Roughly half are purebred Rambouillets rams and with ample feed they are thriving and gaining weight rapidly in the present cold weather.
