Teton Defeats Augusta as Bulldogs Rally in Weekend Hoops

Coach J Kent Midgett’s Bul Mog bas keteers had mixed results with wins over Augusta and Conrad, while reserves and the girls boosted Teton’s performance. Friday the boys beat Augusta 23 14, and Tuesday Conrad trips they hosted both boys and girls, ending 19 17 for the visitors. The Sand Coulee loss to Stockett 44 10 and a 11 11 girls draw with Conrad highlighted the uneven weekend.

Project Farmer Im proves Home Plans to Drop Livestock Work

Tl G Basswin a progressive farmer on the Greenfield division of the Sun River project has completed home improvements including a modern electric lighting system and a complete water and plumbing setup with a septic tank. He will sell most of his Hereford stock as he shifts from livestock to grain farming, including purebred hulls from the H Tl Halladay herd.

Local Man Returned to S D Forgery Charge

Nick Lichter a Fairfield resident for nearly a year was extradited from Fairfield to Temmnon Perkins county South Dakota to face a forgery charge. Sheriff Floyd C Short dispatched the request and Sheriff J L Bisings effected the arrest. Lichter waived extradition and offered no trouble. He was based in rear rooms of the Greenfields Oil Co during Fairfield stay and once played for the Fairfield baseball team.

Ida Waterman Dies Suddenly At Austin Minn

Mrs Ida Ferris Waterman 80 an old time Teton county resident and longtime WCTU and Methodist worker died suddenly in Austin Minnesota. She collapsed after waking for breakfast. she had lived with her daughter Mrs Dana Murphy and had previously taught school and served as state WCTU organizer in North Dakota. She leaves a son Dean and multiple Ferris siblings and nieces and nephews. Funeral plans point to Austin Minn burial.

Death of Dean Charles Becker Son of Glen and Mrs Becker

Telegram announces the death of Dean Charles Becker in Minneapolis at Eitel hospital aged seven, after weeks of illness. Born March 2 1929 in Cut Bank he moved to this city two years ago and is survived by his parents a brother and paternal grandparents. Funeral arrangements set for Monday at the George chapel.

Tohn JT. "Chick" Sulerove announced the renaming of his Chateau service station at Main avenue and First Street North from John’s Service Station to Chick’s Shell Station. He cited name confusion as the reason for the change and noted the station has been authorized to display the American Automobile Association emblem.

Date Set for F F A District Meet At Glacier Park

About 200 boys from Teton county and districts including Sims Cascade Dutton Weber Brownine and Conrad will attend the F F A District Meet at Chateau of Glacier Park Montana on Friday April 10. Events include stock judging grain judging poultry judging farm mechanics contests tar ot shooting baseball horseshoe pitching and an evening program with a feed stunt prizes and a dance. The local FFA chapter expects to spend about 375 dollars and aims to raise the funds.
