Falls Association Plans Meeting Next Week in Great Falls

Seekins Hamers New Operators Of Pendroy Company

Mr and Mrs D G Seekins of Conrad move to Pendroy to run Pendroy Trading Co joining Pendroy residents Mr and Mrs Lee Hamer as managers. The Seekins previously managed Farmers Equity Elevator at Farmington and Rocky Mountain Elevator at Choteau before moving to Conrad. The Pendroy Trading Co was formerly operated by Mr and Mrs Roe Browning.

Drivers to Face Tests for New Montana Licenses

Montana highway patrol assigns driver license exams in Chateau January 26 to 28 for residents of Teton county. Examinations apply to those with no 1947 license. current license holders avoid tests unless a past year violation occurred. Tests run 9 to 5 at the courthouse, with inside law and eye tests followed by a slide and seat demonstration.

Episcopal Church Work Continues at St Stephen Rectory

Reverend T M Burleson says the St Stephen s Episcopal parish rectory work is underway with the entrance way near completion. The basement is finished for a parish hall two bedrooms a new kitchen and two front rooms are done. About 75 percent of the project is paid for.

Two Teton Men Named on State American Legion Committees

G. E. Monkman of Chateau and M. L. Dolezal of Fairfield were chosen for Montana American Legion state committees for the coming year. Three Soil Supervisors To Be Elected In County District

Three soil conservation district supervising seats will be filled on Saturday January 17 from 1 to 6 pm. Nominated are Ralph N Lear and J C Salmond in Chateau Farmington Bole. Oil Survey Truck Collides With Car on Narrow Bridge

A Western Geo physical Co oil survey truck and a 1939 Dodge sedan owned by N W Edwards of Collins collided on a narrow bridge seven miles north and four miles east of Chateau. Edwards suffered no serious injuries while Dash repairs may reach over $400. The bridge lacks railings and is wide enough for two cars but not for a car and a truck to pass.

Free Farm Show Slated For Farmers Here Next Thursday

A free farm show for farmers in Teton county is set for next Tuesday afternoon at the American Legion pavilion in Chateau. Presented by Socony Vacuum Oil Co through General Mills, the event begins at 2 o clock with free feed after the show and new sound movie films for the farming industry. A free prize drawing is planned and good attendance is urged.

Legion bingo nights scheduled on Thursdays are postponed tonight and for two weeks due to renovation work at the Legion Building. A false front with glass brick is being added and a rear storeroom is under construction, delaying the event.
