Effie Bateman 50 wife of Dr H W Bateman and Choteau matron died Monday at Deaconess hospital Great Falls from a cerebral hemorrhage. She had been in poor health and planned for Mayo Clinic Rochester before condition worsened. Born Effie Schultz in North Liberty Iowa she married in 1908 and lived in Augusta and Choteau before Great Falls. She was active in Omega Eta Sorority Fidelity Chapter and local clubs. Survived by husband daughter Helen son William four sisters and one brother. Funeral 3:30 pm at W H George chapel Great Falls with Eastern Star rites and choir. Cremation follows. no flowers.
