More than 100 dial telephones already placed in Choteau homes with dozens more added daily. Conversion to the new system will occur when all homes and businesses have dial phones, likely March 28, if equipment arrives and no delays occur. A crew of 15 from Great Falls is installing phones and wiring in the new building as work continues.

Dutton schools raised a total of 157.23 for the March of Dimes from a Feb 14 basketball benefit. Proceeds from the Brady game, a pop sale, and classroom contributions were added to help reach the Polio Fund total. Referees donated services and mileage expenses amounted to 10.50. Texaco to Build Larger Service Station in Choteau

Masons Direct Last Rites For Boettcher
The Choteau Masonic lodge conducted the funeral for John Carl Boettcher 67 of Olympia Washington who died February 12 from a gas plate leak. Burial was in Choteau cemetery with pallbearers Gordon Monkman Hampton Bloom Carl Gulbrandsen Ray Nelson and J A Monkman. He was born January 24 1883 in Arlington Minnesota and had worked for railroads since age 17 including as a depot agent in Bynum. He is survived by his son Glen and two grandchildren and three brothers Emil Clayton Henry and William. Glen Boettcher and his wife Helen Cohoe attended.
