Two Idaho Teens Die In One Car Crash Near Dutton
Two Idaho youths aged 15 and 16 were killed Sunday when their car driven by 15-year-old Dennis Lowe went out of control four miles south of Dutton. The vehicle crossed the road, skidded into a ditch, sheared a utility pole, and rolled. Karen Anderson was thrown clear and died at the scene. Local authorities named coroner Lee Zwereman and Sheriff Albert Becker to oversee the investigation.

Funeral Rites Planned For Clara Wood in Falls
Clara Wood 70 died Tuesday in a Great Falls hospital after months of illness. Funeral services set for Friday at 11 am at the Chapel of Chimes in Great Falls with burial in Riverside Cemetery Fort Benton. She served in the WACs earning the Silver Star and later worked for the U S government finance department in France. Survivors include sisters Bertha Restelli and Emma Schwarz, brothers Walt Wolk Bernard Paul and Fred, plus several nieces and nephews.

Civil Defense Test Termed Successful
The Teton County Civil Defense test held Friday afternoon was deemed successful by Roy Goodell chair of the Board of County Commissioners. Local Civil Defense personnel established a County Emergency Operating Center in the courthouse at Chateau and connected with other communities to simulate emergencies. George DeWolf from the state Civil Defense office evaluated procedures and guided the local group.

The council discussed the upcoming city election with offices for mayor two ward seats city treasurer and police judge up for grabs on April 7.
