Zwerneman Mortuary will hold an open house Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at its new building one block west and a half block north of Citizens State Bank. Owner Lee E. Zwerneman, a Livingston native with local ties, invites residents to view modern facilities and discuss future area offices.

Fatal ice accident claims Mrs. J. Allen

Funeral services are set for Friday for Mrs. J. Allen and her companion William A. Ish who died Tuesday when their car broke through ice on Willow Creek Reservoir seven miles north of Augusta. The bodies were recovered after 5 p.m. Ish, about 75, was a Sun River resident. Ish and Mrs. Allen left Augusta around 11 a.m. to ice fish and were relatives and longtime friends. The accident remains under Lewis and Clark county sheriff investigation. Mrs. Allen survived by a husband and two children. Ish by five daughters, a stepdaughter, and a son.

Five criminal cases slated for February district term

Five criminal cases are scheduled for trial during the February District Court jury term beginning February 24, Judge R. D. MacPhillips announced. Readouts include Montana cases against Melvin Black Larry Carrier Arlie Van Johnson Joe Leon Lewis and Leigh E Davis plus civil actions and a 75 person jury venue.

Mrs Lasselle Dies in Warm Springs at 73

Inga Kathryn Lasselle 73 of Chateau died Thursday in Warm Springs after a cancer illness. Born March 29 1891 in Black Eagle she married Ralph Jones Lasselle in Great Falls and operated the Glenloyd Hotel 1939 to 1949. Survived by daughter Jean Bleecker granddaughter Rachel Gallagher and Jeffrey Gallagher two brothers Peter and Reynold Dahl and a late daughter Mae Gaby. Funeral at Banks Chapel with Rev. Haugen. interment Highland Cemetery Great Falls.

Masonic Official to Speak at Choteau Temple

Simon P. Freeman, Glendive, grand high priest of Royal Arch Masons of Montana, will be principal speaker at the George Washington Convocation Monday February 22 at the Choteau Masonic Temple. Chapters from Cut Bank Conrad Great Falls and Choteau will be represented and all Royal Arch Masons are invited. Teton FHA Aids 172 Families in 1964 Rural Credit

Farmers Home Administration supervised credit services aided 172 Teton county farm and rural families in 1964. Lee M. Farmer said loans and insured funds totaled 464000 across the county, with 82 individual loans and 18 rural groups using FHA credit. The program expanded to include two special credit programs under the Economic Opportunity Act to strengthen farms and rural communities.
