The 44th anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America is observed during Boy Scout Week February 7 to 13. More than 3.3 million boys and adult leaders participate nationwide, continuing a program started in 1910 with over 21 million members. The theme Forward on Liberty's Team aims to boost manpower and program quality across 89,000 units with community tribute to leaders and volunteers.

The city clerk has issued new dog licenses for 1954 in Chateau. Fees are 2 dollars for males and spayed females and 5 dollars for unspayed females. Dogs roaming without tags may be destroyed. Licenses are valid Jan 1 to Dec 31, 1954. Tags must be affixed to sturdy collars.

Bruce Thompson, Safeway store manager at Chinook for the past year, succeeds Robert Kerr who was transferred to Havre. Wedding Held In Chateau With Perrella Kin Involvement
The Dec 26 ceremony in Chateau joined Miss DeRusha, Chateau native, as maid of honor, and Victor Perrella of Denver as best man. The bride, daughter of Thomas F. Kelly of Black Eagle, Montana, wore a grey suit with pink accessories and carried an orchid corsage on a prayer book. The groom, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Perrella of Louisville, recently discharged after merchant marine service, is a 1950 grad of Colorado State College of Education and did graduate work at Long Beach State College. The Catholic church was decorated for the holiday season with carnation arrangements and baskets of flowers. about 140 attended the reception at the groom’s home where the cake was cut. The couple will reside after the wedding.

Four Meetings For Brucellosis Control Slated
Four meetings are scheduled in Teton county to inform cattle owners and residents about the proposed brucellosis control program. The schedule includes Aragonia Fairfield on Wednesday February 17, Chateau courtroom on Thursday February 18, Greenfield community hall Thursday night February 18, and Dut ton at 2 p.m. Friday February 19 likely at the Women's Club rooms. Bloodmobile Blood Draw Planned for Choteau Area

Wool Price Support 1954 Loans Planned for Wool Producers
The 1954 wool price support program will offer loans on both pulled and shorn wool with terms similar to 1953. Nonrecourse loans at 90 percent parity valued, maturing April 30, 1955, and advance recourse loans up to 70 percent of appraisal value. Eligibility requires wool to be in merchantable condition and stored by Feb 28 1955, with operations beginning May 1. Loan rates by grade to be announced April 1.
