A Saturday wind storm caused extensive damage across the area. A 24 foot section of wind break fence fell on 6 year old Carol Hodgskiss, injuring her but she recovered after two days of observation. Hay stacks, barns, granaries, and trees were toppled, and a camper was blown onto its top in downtown Choteau.

January Traffic Violators in Teton County

John K Standish 63 died last Wednesday in Halsey Oregon. Funeral services were held Saturday in Portland with graveside rites at Workman Cemetery north of Harrisburg. City council and Cemetery Board meet on Monday February 20 to discuss a new water supply for Chateau Cemetery. The current four inch line piped from hilltop tanks is aging since 1927 and inadequate as the cemetery doubles in size. The planned change may require replacing much of the line to prevent shortages.
