County Superintendent Muriel Riquam reports Teton County has drawn $59,210 from the State Public School Equalization fund, about 60 percent of the yearly request, with final payments due in June. Individual allocations include Chateau Elementary 9,659 and Fairfield Elementary 6,234, plus rural and high school disbursements.

Snyder Twins Shine In District Golden Gloves Wins
Tommy Snyder 135 lb fighter from Chateau club coached by Stan Brown with Lyle George as assistant scored two novice division wins at the Great Falls district Golden Gloves. He stopped Walter Neumiller in 35 seconds of first round then Barney Hopewell Havre in the second round. Mike Snyder competed at 126 lb, losing to Casey Cabell Browning. Patrol Extends License Tab Deadline to February Fifteenth

Mrs Irma Larson Dies in Washington Service and burial held for Kirkland resident
Mrs Irma M Larson died in Washington following long illness. Born June 3 1883 in St Paul daughter of Andrew Swanson and China Hultmain Swanson she married Axel Larsen in 1904 in Wisconsin. She lived in Lite Falls 1913, moved near Choteau later, then Columbia Falls 1935 and Kirkland 1945. She was mother of eight sons who served in World War II. Funeral at Trinity Lutheran church with burial in Choteau cemetery officiated by Rev A B Grandal. Survivors include two daughters Mrs Ethel Greenland Redmond and Mrs Lydis Bengtson Kirkland, brother William Swanson Milltown WI, and many grandchildren and nephews.
