The 1969 Heart Fund Campaign runs February 1 to 28 with a county opening by Mrs. Co W Boussard. Dr Judith Graham spoke at the January 30 meeting and a diet film was shown. Heart Days for Business and a Heart Sunday neighbor-visit drive are planned with about 60 volunteers. Local campaign chairs include Mrs Don Corbett Chateau, Mrs Arnold Hanusa Soroptimists, and several district leaders across the county.

At a Monday meeting the council discussed the ongoing frozen water pipes in Choteau and urged residents to keep a cold water faucet running to prevent further freezing as warmth returns. They also approved sending Police Chief Leon Gollehon to a Great Falls training school and ratified numerous claims including supplies, insurance, utilities, and January salaries.

George W. Jackson Funeral Rites Held in Choteau
Funeral services for George W. Jackson 66 a longtime Choteau barber were held Monday at Banks Chapel with Rev. Don L Smith and Choteau Lodge AF&AM members officiating. Interment followed in Choteau Cemetery. Jackson born December 25 1902 in Choteau died January 31 after a monthlong illness. He was survived by son James G. of San Mateo California two grandchildren three sisters and was a former school board clerk and barber.

Funeral Rites Held for J. L. Dunckel Sr. in Livingston
John L. Dunckel Sr. 87 died January 29 after a two week illness. Funeral services were held in Livingston with interment at Mountain View Cemetery. Survivors include his wife Alvina, four daughters five sons and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He moved to Livingston in 1920 after a long career with the Northern Pacific Railroad.

Henry Zier 60 of Agawam died Wednesday after an extended illness in Teton Memorial Hospital. Born April 28, 1909 in Hysham Montana he grew up there and Sheridan Wyoming before moving to Agawam to farm. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Marlow Engberg officiating. Interment in Chateau Cemetery directed by Banks Funeral Home. Pallbearers are his brothers George Jacob Alex Herman William and Fred Zier. Surviving siblings include George and Jacob Zier of Agawam Conrad Wil liam Zier of Conrad Herman Zier of Agawam and Fred Zier of Conrad plus sisters Leota K Rickman of Great Falls and Molly Wicks of Sturgis South Carolina. Memorials may be given to the Teton County Nursing Home.
