Fire safety meeting for Choteau firemen and bulk plant staff

Registration Begins For School Election
Persons may register to vote in the school trustee election set for April 5. Those not currently registered must register by February 24. Voters who participated in November 1968 or registered since then aren’t required to reg ister. Those who did not vote then must re register to be eligible. Individuals 21 or older on April 5 may register at the County Clerk's office or before the precinct deputy registrar, a notary public, or a justice of the peace.

Melvin Edward Beringer a 61 year old Collins area farmer died Monday January 27 at the home of his daughter in Conrad after months of illness. Funeral services are set for today Thursday at 2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Conrad with Rev. James Stewart officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery in Conrad. Memorials may go to Pondera County Hospital. Born March 19 1907 in Crockston NC he moved to Montana in 1908. He married Doris Lathrop July 31 1928. Survivors include his widow two daughters Billie Em body of Cut Bank and Peggy Crawford of Conrad a sister Hazel Gould of Ulm and four grandchildren.
