Funeral services for Anna Josephine McCormick of the Farmington community were held at St. Luke's Catholic church with a large clergy procession and burial in Chateau cemetery. She was born in Tipperary Ireland March 4 1880 married Dan McCormick in 1904 and died in a Great Falls automobile accident. survived by her husband and five children.

Only Two New County Officers to Start Their Duties on January 2
Next Tuesday two new officers will assume their duties at the court house. They are B. I. Packer, county attorney, and James Peebles, county commissioner. Pending settlement by the courts of the Billings Peterson sheriff case, the former will continue in office. Packer previously served two terms as county attorney. Peebles is a prominent cattleman and rancher from the Teton district and has lived in the county since youth.

Two Autos Collide on Main Avenue in Chateau
An autos collision occurred Saturday night on Main avenue in Chateau. A Mercury owned by Frank Stearns for about 20 minutes was struck by a Studebaker driven by Henry Frericks, Rooney passenger, causing both vehicles to be damaged with the Studebaker sustaining heavier damage. City Marshal M A King reported Frericks sober, Rooney intoxicated, and Frericks claimed glare from an approaching car blinded him. no charges were filed.

Carl K. Matone, longtime Montana cattleman and former president of the Montana Livestock Production Credit association, is named by Governor Hill as district director of the Farm Credit Board of Spokane. Malone will also serve on several Spokane financial boards and attend directors’ meetings in mid January. The Montana association, founded in 1933, has advanced over twenty million dollars to members in five years and celebrates its fifth anniversary January 16 during the Montana Wool Growers session.
