Teton Bulldogs defeated Fairfield Eagles 80 to 24 in a season opener at Fairfield. Officials and fans criticized officiating for being too lax, with two Great Falls referees handling the game. Hinman and Rose led Choteau with seven points each as Nelson and Dahlin contributed on defense and rebounding. The teams meet again in Choteau and the Bulldogs travel next to Fort Benton and St. Marys in Great Falls.

Christmas carols popular with public in Choteau
Trinity Lutheran choir sang Christmas carols around town on Sunday evening visiting sick and shut in residents. Mrs. Arnold Hanusa and Rev. A Bernard Gravdal led the event with Ladies Aid serving ham burgers and coffee after hosting carolers at the church. LeRoy Anderson provided transportation.

Tragic Accidental Shooting Claims Oscar M Gaare
Oscar M Gaare longtime Fairfield resident dies from an accidental gun discharge last Wednesday. He was born in Parley Minnesota in 1886 and married Julia Alrick in 1911. Survived by his wife four children five sisters two brothers and eight grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the American Lutheran church with Rev Holland officiating.
