In Chateau in 1946 the Teton County Memorial Hospital association will hold its first annual meeting on January 21 to elect executive board members and plan a concerted drive for the year.

Bullerdick Plans to Publish in New Locality

Millard S. Bullerdick editor of The Chateau Acantha since 1942 will partner with W. J. Callaghan to start a new paper. Bullerdick will place active management with Callaghan and relocate the former Teton Citizen plant. Don Nordhagen may return to work for Bullerdick, and a plant move is planned with a likely site kept under wraps until deals close.

Beaupre Cafe and Parlor Openings Stir Chateau Dining Scene

Announcement states two new eateries will open immediately in Chateau. Beaupre Cafe resumes after a New Year’s Day opening. Mrs. Alfred Shelmerdine and Mrs. Clara Geldrrig as new managers. The other venture, a doughnut and coffee parlor run by Mrs. J R Collins, will serve tea parties and takeout with ice cream to be added later.

Doctor Boussard Undergoes Minor Operation

Dr C W Boussard dentist underwent a minor operation in a Great Falls hospital yesterday. He may return to practice after a few days, his wife is at the hospital, and he had been ill for several days without knowing the cause.

Legion Presents Affair Tonight For All War Vets

World War II veterans on leave or discharged are invited to an American Legion event at the Masonic hall tonight starting at 7. The C James Smith Post will present a dinner sponsored by the Legion Auxiliary, followed by a dance. Work on upstairs club rooms nears completion, including a kitchen dance hall and auxiliary meeting room.

Choteau Chess Club Shifts Meeting Night to Monday

The Choteau Chess Club will not meet Thursday this week and instead gathering on Monday night January 7 at 7 30 in the Legion club room. Regular meetings will then occur each Monday unless it coincides with American Legion events. High school student interest rises and a local chess tournament may be held in March or April. Winter quarter opens as students return to college

The winter quarter starts today at the college. Returning students include Bill, Katherine and Doris who are in high school there, Reiquam, Leslie Otness, Floyd and Dean Swenson, Nancy Stenson, and Donald Passmore. New enrollees are Dick Gronberg, Jim Underwood, Ted Stott, Charles Parkett, and Jack Wellenstein. Jim is marked as a current student, while Ted and Charles are ex service men.
