Guill to Operate Golden Slipper Pendroy
J A Guill relinquishes Mountain View hall at Claude to Harry G Young of Great Falls who takes over the Golden Slipper hall at Pendroy. Opening dance planned for Dec 29 with Walt Bakers orchestra. Former Teton Instructor Discharged from Service
Cr W Hunziker, former Teton High science and mathematics teacher, has been discharged after four and a half years of service and returned home from Manila. He is visiting his sister in Quincy Illinois with no definite plans yet. He served in the engineers corps and was stationed in Portland Jeson and in the South Pacific.

Beloved Matron Mrs Hane Laid to Rest in Simms
Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Simms for Mary Louise Hane who died at St John’s hospital Helena from cerebral hemorrhage. She was born in Trade Lake Wisconsin in 1872 and later moved to Montana with her family settling near Bole and later Simms. survivors include three daughters a son a brother five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Local Man Serves on Savo Island in Pacific War Sweep
Durward Mynolds, fireman second class, USNR, wife Frances Reynolds of Chateau, served aboard the cruiser USS Savo Island during wartime operations. His service spanned the Third, Fifth and Seventh Fleets as American forces advanced toward Japan.

Coyotes Defeat Bulldogs In Local Hoops Tilt
The Shelby Coyotes beat the Teton Bulldogs 37 to 29 on their home floor. Shelby built an early 8-3 lead, trailed 21-7 at half, then rallied after halftime with Hinman Nelson and L Dahlin keying the offense. Johnson led Shelby with 14 points while Gunrickson added 13 for the visitors. Choteau's Dahlin and Hinman each had seven and Nelson nine for Choteau’s top scorers.

Daley to Open Temporary Tax Help Office in Chateau
H M Daley former Teton county court clerk will run a Friday and Saturday office in Chateau through March 15 to assist taxpayers with 1945 income tax returns and provide accounting services. He recently moved from Helena to Fairfield, offers WWII veteran paperwork help, and has two sons including one missing in action.
