The Cho teau Bulldogs routed Fairfield 170 to 59 in a game that produced a flood of records. The box score shows Montana High School Association marks for most fouls in a game and most foul shots by a team, with high totals across minutes at the free throw line and free throws made.

Services Held On Tuesday For G. Carroll

George A. Carroll 77 longtime Chateau resident and former Teton County clerk from 1928 to 1944 died Saturday at Fort Harrison veterans hospital. Funeral held Tuesday at Banks Funeral Home with the DC James Smith Post of the American Legion officiating. Burial in Chateau cemetery. Carroll born in Dublin Ireland came to Teton County in 1921. married Birdie Robertson in 1921 then moved to Helena after retirement. He was World War I veteran and recipient of the Distinguished Service Cross. Survivors include his widow and a niece Mrs. Louis Clough Chateau.

Nordahl Missing In Action In Vietnam

Lt. j.g. Lee Edward Nordahl of Cho teau has been reported missing in action over North Vietnam. He is a 1957 Choteau High School graduate and a 1962 graduate of the Butte School of Mines, and is the son of Mr and Mrs Ed Nordahl.

Moniger Rite Set Tomorrow in Choteau

Funeral services for Charles Moniger scheduled for tomorrow at 2 p.m. at Bank's Funeral Home in Choteau. He died December 21 after a two year illness. Rev. Marlow Engberg to officiate with burial in the Choteau Cemetery soldier plot. Pallbearers named Eldon Cook Carl Olson Leo Keil S J Bachroier Ray Bandow Wayne Randall. Moniger born December 25 1888 in Great Falls first settled at Belt. He married Hazel Léona Backus in 1919 in Walla Walla Washington who died in 1931. He was a World War I Navy veteran. Survivors: three daughters Mrs Howard Koch Chateau Mrs Rudy Atulio Missoula Mrs William Pearce Beaverton Oregon. one sister Mrs Elsie Brandon Walla Walla. two brothers James Great Falls Joseph Walla Walla. and 10 grandchildren.

Outstanding Young Educator Named in Teton County Plan

Plans to select the outstanding young educator of Teton County were announced by Jay Dunckel chair of the Chateau Jaycees. The program spots educators aged 21 to 35 from first through 12th grades and invites nominations with educator name and school address. Local winners will be honored at Bosses Night and may advance to state and national competitions.

Choteau Post Office Set to Open December 30

Postmaster C. G. Monkman announced the Choteau post office will begin operations on Thursday December 30. Move plans include transferring equipment between December 29 and 30, with new box assignments and key locking drawers. The new facility offers bank type counters and a finance lobby, with 715 boxes available.
