Winter Fair Dates Floated by Chateau Chamber

Lights of Love shines in Teton Memorial tree fundraiser

Deer Cause Weekend Crashes Damaging Two Vehicles
Police reported two deer related crashes in the Chateau area this week. Ed Larson, 18, of Chateau was injured when his 1964 Chevrolet station wagon veered to miss deer on Highway 89 and hit a borrow pit and trees. He spent the night in hospital. Later, Karen Fusaro, 19, of Augusta drove a 1970 Ford with four passengers when it struck two deer on U.S. 89 south of Chateau. no injuries occurred and both deer were killed while the car sustained heavy damage.

Harold Gaarder of Fairfield was re-elected to a three year term on the Teton County ASC committee at the December 19 convention in Chateau. Gaarder, president of Gaarder Ranch Co., operates 820 acres east of Fairfield and 650 irrigated and 600 dry cropland. He also serves as president of the Montana Association of Farmer Elected Committeemen. Grant Curtis of Choteau was elected convention chairman, with Ronald Ostberg and Carl Trebesch named alternates.
