Contracts for Wheat Growers Being Written
The allotment committee of the Teton County Wheat Production Control association will finalize contracts for applicants next week. A published list will show each applicant’s farm size, allotment, and maximum 1934 per acre rate, with 1788 applicants and 134 non applicants in the county. The county’s five year average production and the new county yield are used to set allotments, with signed contracts due from landowners and tenants before sending to Washington.

Thirty four new books were added to Chateau public library this week. Twenty one fiction and ten children's titles went to regular shelves along with three on the pay shelf. The pay shelf titles are Mondva Mondva by Winifred Holtby Life Begins at Forty by Walter B Pitkin and No Second Spring by Janet Beith, a prize novel.

Leaguers Host Christmas Surprise for Mrs Thompson

Christmas Eve Program at M E Church Promises Santa
The Methodist church Sunday school presents a Christmas program on Sunday December 24 at 730 pm. The event runs about an hour with Santa Claus arriving at the end to give treats to children. Thomas Staunton of Great Falls won the Pendroy West road project bidding $8,887.75 for grading gravel surfacing and small structures on National Recovery Secondary Highway Project No. NRS-310. The 1.67 mile stretch from Pendroy to Highway 87 targets farm to market and feeder roads with one municipal improvement, part of nine projects funded by a $7.4 million federal emergency grant. Another bid opening is set for December 28. a planned 332-foot Jocko River bridge in Ravalli County was withdrawn.

Christmas Carols to Be Sung at Chateau
The Epworth League of the Methodist church plans afternoon carols next Sunday with Dorothy Allum Helen Harmon and Mrs A J Thompson in charge. State plans woman staff in all liquor stores
Attorney General R. T. Nagle said the liquor control board will place a woman cashier in each state liquor store to ease purchases for all customers. Nellie Buchanan became Helena’s cashier, and potential store sites include Arcade pool hall, Stockmen's Bank building, Givens building, and others.
