Livingston and Dr. Leslie Chalmers of EMC propose a Chalmers Livingst on plan to organize Montana cattle into district co operatives feeding 25 000 to 30 000 feeders on farms with in house slaughter and marketing. They see 38 co operatives possible and emphasize cost savings from regional plants.

Larry Taylor Dies In Idaho Crash Enroute To Funeral
Larry E. Taylor 31 former Choteau resident was killed when his pickup slid off an icy highway near Coeur d Alene Idaho. He was a Kaiser Jeep district manager based in Portland and lived in Missoula. Funeral services were held at Chateau United Methodist Church with burial in Chateau Cemetery.

Eighteen Cha teau area farmers joined 105 Montana colleagues on a tour of John Deere plants in Iowa and Illinois. The group departed Great Falls by chartered plane Thursday and visited the Waterloo tractor factory then the Moline harvester plow and administration facilities. Attendees included Nevin Caskey and Lyle Otness among others.
