Mrs Beda Noreen was admitted to Maynard hospital last Saturday for medical treatment and dismissed yesterday. A son was born Monday at Maynard hospital to Mr and Mrs James Bennett of the Certel coal mines. Mrs Rudolph Bramer of Power was admitted to Chateau hospital last Friday for medical treatment. Florence Eastwood of Fairfield was admitted to Choteau hospital Sunday for medical treatment. Howard Thorn of Fairfield was admitted to Choteau hospital Monday for surgical treatment. A daughter was born Monday at Choteau hospital to Mr and Mrs Andy Hyatt of Bynum. A Spoelder of Bole was admitted to Chateau hospital Tuesday for medical treatment.

Turkeys Marketed Last Thursday in Teton County Shipment
A small Christmas turkey shipment of 5 927 pounds, one sixth of a normal load, arrived in Teton County last Thursday. Prime grade accounted for 5 196 pounds graded by H J Moon. Twenty nine shippers shared 786 16 dollars in advances. Prize money went to Mrs George Slanger for largest prime amount with 5 dollars. other winners included Pete Otness 4 dollars and L L Erickson 3 dollars.

Bulldogs Win Two Games In Weekend Tilts
The Teton county high school Bulldogs claim two first wins of the season in consecutive Friday and Saturday games. They defeated Augusta 80 to 13 and St Marys 22 to 18, with standout performances from Lee Bleecker Wallace and Johnson. The girls and boys teams combined strong offense, passing, and defense on the local floor.

Geyser Sheepman Killed in Auto Crash Near Great Falls
Ole Osnes, a well known Geyser livestockman, died Monday night when his car skidded on the highway east of Great Falls and plunged 50 feet down an embankment on the Great Falls Belt road. The driver, Joe Armont, was badly hurt.

Local Scouts Sponsor Community Christmas Program in Chateau
Scouts plan a Christmas eve program at the high school auditorium with groups from the city providing musical numbers and a candy distribution for children. Trees will be lit at the courthouse and county high school, wired by Frank Stearns and assistants at no charge. The Newman club and Methodist church choir join in, with an instrumental trio featured. Local American Legion post and Chateau Lions Club pledge financial support.

Graves Fined $50 For Driving With Revoked License
Lyle Graves of Fairfield appeared before Justice J C Jackson after being stopped by Highway Patrolman Cecil Storm. He was charged with operating a motor vehicle despite a revoked license. Graves was fined $50 and jailed in default. A prior Fort Benton case had fined him $110 and revoked his license until January 1.

Clifford Norris Earns Unanimous Honorary Captain Title
Clifford Norris of Montana State College, Bozeman, was unanimously elected honorary captain of the 1937 Bobcats football team after a season that saw the squad score 204 points. Despite a 160 pound frame and injuries, Norris led as center, earned team respect, and balanced athletics with strong academic performance. He now coaches Holy Rosary high school in Bozeman.

New Ford Cars Debut At Local Show
The 1928 Ford cars were shown for the first time last Friday. Taylor, local Ford dealer, estimates about 300 visitors toured the display and many favorable comments were heard. He had one deluxe model on loan from Great Falls, while a standard model remains on the showroom floor.

Death of W. W. Smith in Chateau shock to city
W. W. Smith 57 founder of Chateau creamery died at home at 10 30 am from flu pneumonia after a day at work and Lions and Masonic meetings. Survived by wife Annabelle Fletcher and daughter Mary Ann. siblings in Washington. Funeral set for Saturday at the Methodist church with Masonic rites at the Mausoleum in Great Falls.

Christmas Cantata and Choir Program at M E Church
A Christmas music program is set for Sunday evening at Chateau Methodist Church. The Teton County high school glee club directed by Miss Mae Walton will perform The Story of Christmas cantata with 38 chorus members and solos by multiple soloists. The church choir, assisted by Calvin Wixom, will follow with a second program including soloists, mixed and male quartets, and the Hallelujah chorus from the Messiah. The high school chorus repeats the cantata Tuesday at 3 p.m. December 21. Public invitation extended.
