Crary Feed Plant Destroyed by Early Morning Fire
A 50 by 70 foot feed plant at the Doug Crary ranch burned after 1 30 a.m. Saturday, destroying a mixing truck two tractors grinders a new chopper 6000 gallons of liquid concentrate and 24 tons of chopped hay among other items. Owner Doug Crary estimated a 25000 loss with no insurance. fire was extinguished by Sheriff Albert Becker and others, and Crary planned to resume operations soon.

Hospital Board Is Appointed for Teton Memorial
Teton County Commissioner Martin Shannon announced the appointment of a three man board of trustees for Teton Memorial Hospital. The trustees are Joe Eisenman of Fairfield, Bob Gronberg and Ben Christman of Choteau. Gronberg serves until May 1973, Eisenman until May 1974, and Christman until May 1975. The board was created following the establishment of a county hospital district to oversee hospital operations.

William Wesley Cole 57 died December 3 at Teton Memorial Hospital in Chateau after years with Parkinson's disease. Funeral held December 4 at United Church of Christ in Fairfield. burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Survived by widow Helen Cowell, daughters Judy Whalen and Patty Frizzell and Barbara at home, sister Joyce Hutchins, four nieces and nephews. He was a lifelong Fairfield rancher and WWII Army Air Forces veteran.

560 Cattle to Sell at Corbett Ranch Dispersion Sale
The Corbett Angus Ranch will hold a dispersion sale south of Chateau on Saturday December 11 starting at 10 a.m. The event features 560 head of registered Angus cattle including 10 herd bulls. Additional cattle include over 100 cows with bull calves at side and with heifer calves, 14 cows with fall calves, 75 yearling bred heifers, and 22 coming two year-old bulls. The sale takes place in Corbett’s heated sale pavilion.

James E. Asay Dies After Heart Attack in Montana
Teton County deputy sheriff James Elton Asay died at the hospital Saturday night following a heart attack. He was 60. Funeral services were held Tuesday in Choteau with burial in Chateau Cemetery. Officiating were Bishop Andrew Jenson and others. Survivors include his widow June and a son Jerry. He was born January 7 1911 in Richfield Utah.

Mundy Couple Killed in Southeast of Fairfield Auto Crash
Funeral services were held in Choteau for Mr. and Mrs. James L. Mundy killed in an automobile crash 9 miles southeast of Fairfield on Highway 89. The driver may have dozed, the car left the road, and flipped end over end killing the couple. Mundy was a retired U.S. Air Force master sergeant.
