Local families and friends gathered for Thanksgiving dinners with multiple households in the Gap and nearby farm communities. The Woman's club plans a December meeting at Mrs. Dauwalder's home, while the Farmers' Union set a December 7 meeting.
Services will be at St. Paul Lutheran on Sunday December 4 at 3 PM followed by Luther League lunch. Rev Lunde visited the beach and returns to Great Falls. Local social notes include Thanksgiving dinners hosted by Mr and Mrs C B Norheim and by Mr and Mrs David Swenby. Several residents visit Great Falls and Fort Harrison hospital plans. Three new siblings born to Norman Wingom and Mrs Wingom from Valier.
Mr and Mrs Dean Waterman and son joined Mr and Mrs Myers as guests hosted by Mr and Mrs Frazier at a recent gathering.
The district marks three months of school with perfect attendance certificates for 83 pupils across grades 1 to 8 and rural school. Winners Arensmeyer and Evelyn Jodgskiss receive the picture of their choice, to be shown at assembly. Reports on honor rolls and health charts for first through third grades, plus a discussion of public education goals by Dr. Strayer.
A U S government monument honors Wilbur and Orville Wright of Ohio. Local contest winners include Esther Arensmeyer for a lower grade picture and several students named. eighth graders study railroads and color in art class.
