Frank Schultz of Choteau displays a potato shaped like a monoplane at Hirshberg store window. The spud has drawn buyers and sold for 12 dollars after photos moved to syndication in Minneapolis Chicago and New York. Power Banker Named Cashier at Cascade Bank

Mrs. C. S. McDonald Injured in Pasadena Fall
Word arrived that Mrs. C. S. McDonald slipped while hanging clothes in Pasadena California and broke her hip. She was taken to a hospital and will wear a plaster cast six to eight weeks. The McDonalds and their daughter are wintering in Pasadena at 615 South El Molina Street El Molina Court Apartment 12.

Record of Turkey Receipts and Grower Advances in Teton County
A report shows 18 402 pounds of turkeys received Thursday at Chateau by the Teton County Shipping association, with growers paid 1200 70 dollars. Prime grade dominated at 81 4 percent, 14984 pounds, while 2464 pounds were choice and 954 pounds U S commercial. Advances were 7, 5 and 3 cents respectively, totaling 1048 88, 123 20, and 28 62 dollars. Despite lower prices, total weight exceeded last year by 4410 pounds as favorable weather aided receipts. A free lunch by Choteau businessmen and Lions club was well received by visiting farmers.

Bakker Acquitted in Assault Case by Farmington Jury
Charles Bakker, a Farmington resident, was found not guilty by a jury of second degree assault against James Drinkwine. The trial extended from Saturday to Monday with testimonies from Dr. Patterson Boussard Drinkwine and others. post verdict, the state moved to dismiss the case against Wm. Broere who was also charged. The court postponed Hugh Smith grand larceny trial to a later term.

Blizzard Wake Tuesday Brings Narrow Escapes and Freezing Storm
A historic blizzard hit Tuesday with near zero temperatures and five to seven inches of snow from Sunday night through Monday. North winds and blinding visibility stranded motorists and schoolchildren, causing frostbite injuries, risky rescues, and delayed county operations. County officials searched for stranded residents as buses and courts faced delays.

Murder verdict and death penalty in Hoffman case
A jury found George Hoffman guilty of first degree murder in the Sept 20 1932 killing of George Burrell and sentenced him to death after about two hours deliberation. Judge Hattersley scheduled the sentence for Tuesday at 9 30 am but delays occurred.

Christmas Program at Woman's Club Meeting
Blizzard and cold weather cut attendance at the Woman's Club program at the grade school auditorium. Mrs. Arnold Hanusa and Mrs. R. Nelson directed a Christmas themed program with a student group forming a tree on stage and Joy May Pollock as Mary. A quartet and several boys sang carols including Silent Night and It Came Upon a Midnight Clear, with a closing Oh Come All Ye Faithful and Silent Night.
