New Fire Truck Bumper To Harden Fire Response
Fire Chief J. G. Jackson announced new safety rules and equipment for the upcoming fire truck. The truck will sport a strong bumper a siren and foamite tanks and ladders with hoses stored in the box. Only volunteer firefighters may ride or drive the vehicle and drivers face damages if hoses are run over. Practice alarms will be unannounced and a single siren blast distinguishes drills from real fires.

Scout Winter Camp set at Deep Canyon Ranch after Christmas
At a Monday meeting of Boy Scouts and officials led by R D Cook of Great Falls, a winter camp for December 26 to 28 was approved at Deep Canyon ranch on the Teton. Twenty boys will attend at 1 50 each, with eight from other towns and twelve from Choteau, beds and meals provided by the ranch, parental consents required, and Arnold Hanusa to be notified.

Brother of Mrs. Hardy Dies Following Kick by Horse
Howard W. Rider, about 50, brother of Mrs. I. H. Hardy, died after being kicked in the stomach by a horse near Willow Creek. Rider, who worked at the Salt Dairy for two winters, passed away about midnight the night after the injury. His wife was away in Salt Lake City. funeral held Sunday, November 13, in Chateau.
