Humble Oil plans a Devonian wildcat well on the J. C. Salmond ranch 22 miles west of Choteau Montana. The test targets thrust plates of Mississippian and Devonian rocks at about 7500 feet with Geophysical Service Inc surveying the area for two years. Spudding was slated as of yesterday as workers drill under Humble Oil and Refinery Co contract.

Nesbit Child Dies of Burns Funeral Services Held
Four year old Toni Lynn Nesbit of Cut Bank died after a burn accident caused by a cigarette lighter. Born October 20 1964 in Chateau she was the daughter of Mr and Mrs James Nesbit. Funeral services were held at Zwerneman Mortuary with Rev Alien Adams officiating and burial in Choteau Cemetery. Survivors include her parents a brother Brian the maternal grandmother Mrs Rex Bundy Ke v in paternal grandparents Mr and Mrs Dave Nesbit and great grandmothers Mrs Johanne Nordhagen and Mrs Angie Laverdure. Pallbearers were John Nordhagen Richard Nordhagen Gary Shelmerdine and Jack Wiseman.

They lost 6 5 to the Lethbridge Americans in the first game with Brad Bauman catching both games and Tom Wright and Mitch Toole pitching the opener. The second game fell 6 3 to Shelby with Jimmy Spinder on the mound for the losers. McColloms Escape Serious Injury In Three Car Crash
Edward and Bruce McCollom escaped serious injury after a three car collision on Montana Highway 200 near Clearwater Junction about 30 miles east of Missoula. A Spokane couple, Jae Dee Arrington and Sue Arrington, were injured with Mrs Arrington in critical condition. The McColloms, taken to St. Patrick's Hospital, were later released to recover at home in Chateau. No citation was issued.

Boys State City Leases State and Seeks Presidential Honor
Three Chateau High School juniors Tom Swortzel Paul Stokes and Ronald Allen attend Montana Boys State in Dillon. Mrs. Swortzel says Tom is a Silver Dollar City citizen after the town leased the Montana State from Lt. Gov. Thomas Judge for five cents and sent a telegram to President Nixon asking for honorary citizenship and recognition as a model U S city. No reply had been received by Tuesday.
