The 4-H Fair will be held Saturday September 11 at Teton County High School with exhibits in clothing food preparation and home economics. Entries must be in by Friday September 10 and clubs must display at least three articles. Prize money varies by class with blue ribbons earning cash and other awards. 30 Day Duck Hunting Season Announced by USDA
The United States department of Agriculture announces a 30 day duck hunting season with three zones. Northern zone includes Montana and Colorado among others and runs October 9 to November 7. intermediate zone runs November 1 to 30. southern zone runs November 27 to December 26.

200 Chinese Pheasants to Be Distributed in Teton County
Superintendent Hendricks of the state game farm at Warm Springs will arrive Friday at 9 o’clock with 200 Chinese pheasants for distribution in Teton county. Officials and the Teton County Sportsmen's association will allocate birds to Brushy river and creek bottoms. On the same trip, Hendricks will also deliver birds to Toole county and return via Choteau to collect crates left here.

Bottler Liberates 900 Rainbow Trout in Teton River
Last Thursday 900 six inch rainbow trout were planted in the Teton river near Grant Springs by hatchery foreman Phil Bottler with FE. W. Allen assisting. The same bottler also released 900 rainbow trout below the diversion dam and a similar 900 further down the river on the Teton side with Deputy Game Warden Bruce Neal aiding.

Musketeers Present Sixth Annual Air Show Here Saturday
The Musketeers will present their sixth annual air show at the local airport on Saturday August 21. Pilot Paul Nalewaja and Miss Wands Schur will perform a double parachute jump. Mrs M Morehead Dies After Long Illness
Mrs. Mary Morehead former resident of Blackleaf and Bynum died Saturday after a prolonged illness. She was born March 19 1879 in Berlin and lived in Buffalo before moving to Montana. Survived by son William Morehead Pendroy daughter Mrs Clarence Kaupish Pendroy and another son James Morehead Fairfield also a sister in Buffalo. Funeral Tuesday at Bynum Catholic Church with interment in Bynum Cemetery.

Roscoe Robinson of Agawam headlines Montana results as the state’s first place winner in the Fisher Body Napoleonic coach building contest. Detroit’s Fisher Body Guild and General Motors executive William A. Fisher announced the 20 year old’s prize of 100 dollars. Robinson, son of Mr and Mrs A C Robinson, is a Teton County High School graduate and longtime Choteau municipal band member. This marks the second Teton County victory after John Robison of Choteau won previously, with regional and national contests following.

Teton County High will reopen on Tuesday September 7. The board plans to switch from coal to natural gas with Montana-Dakota Utilities Co and to remove gas burners at year end if unsatisfactory. A private bus service will be added using a Davis bus body, with state transportation funds expected. The faculty includes two new female teachers Miss Virginia Harris and Miss Cleo Buck, and dormitory operations are set to close.

Herman Huisenga of Premium Center sent a November sample to the U S Department of Agriculture. Loren G Paulhamus identified the plant as Grindelia squarrosa or gum plant containing a small amount of rubber. Leaves show 3.73 percent rubber, stems and roots none. blossoms may have higher potential though not reflected in the analysis.

Schreiners Head to California After Successful Spring Valley Sale
The Schreiners announced plans to move to Santa Rosa California with daughter Mrs J L Stradler after a lucrative auction at the C H Schreiner place in Spring Valley where livestock and household goods sold well.
