The Chateau Methodist church held its fourth quarterly conference on Wednesday August 4 with Rev Charles G Cole of Great Falls Glacier district sup erintendent declaring the meeting and annual reports very good Rev Edwin Dover presented his fifth annual report for the Chateau Pendrey charge Election results list trustees stewards committee chairs and finance and membership members were seated with voting privileges The report highlights progress in spiritual social organizational and financial areas noting improved attendance and strong finances plus ten new members eleven baptisms and $124 in missionary contributions

Statewide one day upland bird season proposed for state
The state fish and game commission plans a one day open season on all upland game birds with a three bird bag limit per person. Conflicting dates noted for Sunday September 2 1937 or possible later Sundays 5 or 12, calendar uncertainty cited. At a Lions meeting Choteau announced the Merz Roller Skating company will give free admission exhibitions and skating instruction at the American Legion pavilion in the park next Tuesday evening. The skates are fiber composition and safe for dance floors. Proceeds from the event will be applied to the pool’s debt.
