Wheat allotment plan urged to aid farmers and recovery

Editorial urges quick implementation of a wheat production bonus to help growers and American agriculture. Emphasizes immediate relief, tax funding from a special process tax, and cooperation with state extension services to inform farmers and form county associations.

The Buying Drive and the Call to Save

The piece argues against blind urging to spend during Hoover era propaganda. It warns that inflation has raised prices, suggesting buying now may help recovery if affordable, but stresses thrift and saving remain essential. It stresses individuals must assess personal circumstances and emphasizes charity at home.
