Child Dies After Wandering in Montana Storm
Catharine McGillis three years old, daughter of Mr and Mrs A D McGillis, lost near Willow Creek while visiting at the Osgood place. After hours of search in a cold rain, the body was found two miles from the house. Funeral set for Friday at 10 in the Catholic church with burial in Chateau cemetery. Born January 17, 1930.

Teton Sportsmen Favor 30 Day Open Season on Hungarians
The Teton County Sportsmen's Association votes for a 30 day open season on Hungarians partridges and a closed season on sage hens and upland birds. They request October 15 to November 15 for Hun hunting and note scarcity of Chinks. The state game commission has closed upland birds statewide except in some counties with a three day sage hen season. The commission will decide on Chinks and Huns at the September meeting.

The Pishkun area receives large fish plantings under Giant Springs hatchery supervision. 30,000 silver salmon and 30,400 steelheads were delivered, with 30,000 more steelheads next. Plans call for 60,000 natives in Split Rock lake and winter ice fishing, plus native plantings in Deep Creek and the Teton River, with deliveries to Baker ranchers to stock backcountry streams.

Chautauqua Receipts Expected Over One Hundred
County Agent Robert Clarkson said net receipts from the recent chautauqua will exceed 100 dollars. A final gross showed 253 dollars and 60 cents with expenses of 115 dollars and 40 cents leaving a balance of 138 dollars and 20 cents. The high school auditorium was donated helping keep costs down. Any surplus would fund future chautauquas or charitable uses.

Dr and Mrs Lyall Crary and baby arrived Sunday planning a two month stay before returning to Grand Forks North Dakota where he practices dentistry and pursues an M D degree. Dr Crary Jr has spent about six weeks at Wolf Point relieving a dentist away. Mrs Crary had been in Chicago visiting her parents.
Thrilling Auto Races End North Montana Fair
Great Falls hosts the final day of the North Montana fair with seven open events featuring top dirt track stars led by Liz Haughdahl. Other standout drivers include Emory Collins Shirley Goff Roy Lake Shane Fitzgerald and many more. The highlight is Elfreida Mais's danger stunt at 60 to 80 mph before the grandstand. Races begin at 2 o'clock.
