Council debates zoning amendment petitions and Dr. Crabtree proposal
The council considers petitions with 60 signatures for a zoning amendment and challenges 120 signatures by A. E. Young as inadmissible while eight percent of eligible taxpayers must sign. Arnold Hahusa favors the amendment, arguing Dr. Richard Crabtree’s building would boost the area and not harm property values, while Robert Woodahl links the issue to conservative versus progressive thought.
