The Chateau Golf Club will host the Conrad Golf Club in a Sunday tournament. This is the third year of the event. Men and women in the championship flight must register by 10 a.m. Sunday. men play 18 holes, women 9 holes. The traveling club trophies are held by Conrad for men and Chateau for women. Lwin E. Trumble 37 of Fairfield died Friday night en route to a Great Falls hospital from a heart attack. A musician and town employee, he recently moved from Kent Washington five months ago. Born December 10 1924 in Lebanon Kansas he served in the navy in World War I. Survived by his widow a daughter and several brothers and sisters.

J E Corette says if the Federal Power Commission grants a Buffalo Rapids license the company will maintain Flathead lake elevation between 2883 and 2893 feet, as with the Kerr project. The lake cannot be drawn down further and Buffalo Rapids will share the same drawdown restrictions. Rustad Seeks Bolivian Post Through Peace Corps Training
Kenneth Gil bert Rustad of Chateau is among 54 Peace Corps candidates in an eight week program at Arizona State University Tempe to prepare for service in Bolivia. He will devote about 60 hours weekly to train for dairy industry development in Quillacollo Province Cochabamba Valley. Training spans ASU campus 28 days, Maricopa Indian Community 28 days, plus sessions in Puerto Rico and Bolivia before field assignment. A similar nine week ASU program aided a group sent to Colombia last April.

Eula Bracken Killed In Boron Auto Crash
Mrs Eula L Bracken 68 a former Chateau resident died in a California car crash near Boron while returning from Augusta after attending an old timers event. She rode with her brother Elton Christian and his wife from El Centro. Survivors include brothers Elton Everett and Grand and sister Mrs Dorothy Gavin. Her mother Ada L Christian passed away in Ventura in June.
