A severe hail storm described as the most destructive ever to hit Teton and Pondera counties devastated crops across East Choteau Bole Agawam and Conrad. Fields were flattened many acres lost entirely with windshields broken and neon signs shattered as the storm moved from Freezeout Lake toward the Teton River.

Angler Dies Of Heart Attack On Teton River Near Eureka
Gottlieb Siegle 59 of Fairfield died of a heart attack while fishing on the Teton River above Eureka lake north of Chateau. A World War I veteran and former American Legion commander and chaplain, he had lived in several states before settling in Fairfield in 1937. Survived by wife Christina and six children, plus siblings and other relatives.

Through June 1966 Montana released 312 796 cc of vaccine. objective is two doses for 260 000 under 20. In Teton county 601 people received 1 279 injections. 2 222 aged 1–14 were eligible, with 2 938 under 20 eligible. Those with two injections gain maximum protection amid vaccine scarcity. third injections reach those vaccinated earlier.

More than 60 grade school players competed in a four-team Little League tournament at the school and city park diamonds. The M and A Green team defeated the Chateau Feed and Seed Blues 26 to 15 in the championship after earlier beating the Dellno Agency Reds 25 to 5. The Blues beat the Legion Yellows 31 to 29, and the Reds lost to the Greens 25 to 5.
