Jail Break Through Wall At County Jail
Saturday evening about 9 o clock John Wilson and John Chouquette escaped from the county jail by digging out through the wall. They used a 37 inch diameter water pipe as a poker to break the concrete and move stones. Wilson had just finished a Deer Lodge term for horse stealing and is wanted by Canadian authorities. Chouquette had been bound over to district court on a horse theft charge.
