Lands in Fe ton county previously withdrawn by the Secretary of the Interior under the irrigation law are restored to general entry. Filings upon some parcels are to be accepted after October 3, 1907. Descriptions cover townships 20 to 26 north and ranges 1 to 8 west, with multiple sections specified in each.
The Conrad Townsite company filed articles of incorporation in Cascade county with W G Conrad Jas T Stanford Hatfield Conrad M S Darling and Arthur Conrad as incorporators. The firm is incorporated for 40 years with Great Falls as the principal place of business. A Deaconess hospital building in Great Falls is planned bids called and expected to be ready by year end for about 50 patients. Settlers on Crow Indian lands organize Morn Valley Low Line Canal Co to reclaim 60000 acres under the reclamation act. Secretary Wilson visited Montana near Anaconda and Butte to study forest reserves and open-space farming and to promote reforestation of 100000 trees to restore the woods and water supply.

Mrs Emma J Ferry born in Wisconsin and married to W H Franklin on April 5 1874 had ten children five daughters and three sons. She moved with her husband to Montana about eleven years ago living near Farmington where she died after a lingering illness July 17 1907 and was buried July 18 in Chateau cemetery. Reverend Logan led funeral services with Woodmen lodge pallbearers A C Burbank Henry Redelie Paul Jacobson Chas Klockler J G Jackson and Joe Ferman among mourners.
Changes alter the Montana Episcopal visitation plan as Bishop Bashford cannot return this fall. Bishop Spellmeyer will not visit Alwarva. Bishop Moore will visit with arts conference at Columbia Falls on Aug 14 and North Montana conference at Great Falls on Aug 16. Bishop Cranston will hold the regular Montana conference at Anaconda on Aug 29.
The Dupuyer area shows flourishing livestock and crops with good hay grain and other products. The editor and family faced a soaking rain and hail but found hospitality at the Dupoyer hotel under Mr Carter and wife and plan to visit again.

About June 20 a black mare and a bay gelding strayed or were stolen from Ep TaNER’s ranch near Conrad Montana. The mare weighs 1100 to 1200 pounds and bears an orange horizontal bar O (G7) on the left shoulder, with the bar above the O. The bay gelding weighs about the same and has a branded bar quarter circle on the left shoulder. A ten dollar reward is offered for information leading to recovery.
The board met for a special July term in- Teton County to review fiscal matters and public works. Minutes document allocations, contract approvals, and regulatory actions, with officials presenting prior year explanations and upcoming deadlines.

Loyd Callison of Lowry passed through Farmington on his way to the reservation with horses. Ole Thompson of Bynum visited Tuesday. The Ladies Aid plans an ice cream social Friday night at the Farmington school. Rev A Lunde will preach Sunday morning and evening at Barrington school. Kerr and Tanson's steam plow idle for coal. Howard Tlichseth left for Kenyon Minnesota for health. Adam Preis of Germania Wyoming bought the Johnson ranches nearby. Miss Julia Lindseth left for Great Falls. P O Nesse visited from Freeze out ranch Tuesday. The Dietrich district No Big Leirgs schoolhouse repainted this week.
Dr F A Long was called to Power last week to treat a man with small pox. The patient was sent to Great daily. The entire eight man section crew was exposed. A prior case in Poser was reported about three weeks ago.

Chateau girls Uan Liudo Florence Lucero Stella Jarier now at Genoa. Ed Hirshberg and wife and Sidney Hirshberg travel to Helena after telegram on Mrs Jos Hirshberg’s serious illness. Mrs Hirshberg has been ill for months.

Mrs. Nellie R. Brown a superintendent at county schools sends slips to trustees showing the prices of the new books to be used from the start of this year. State law requires trustees to post these prices in a conspicuous place in each school room within their district.
