Miss Natalie McDermott of Teton County has been chosen as one of four Montana girls to attend the 4-H Club National Camp in Washington D C from June 16 to 22. The 19 year old daughter of Mr and Mrs Charles G McDermott has led Greenfield Junior Home Makers and served as a state and county delegate in 4-H events.

County clerk George A. Carroll warns that registration for the July 19 primary nominating election closes June 3 at 5 p.m. A complete re registration was required this year and totals may exceed 3 000 names by close of period. About 2 300 cards have been received so far. All electors not re registered since June 1 1937 must re register. Naturalized citizens should show papers when registering. Eligibility includes 21 years of age US citizen one year in state and 30 days in county prior to election.

Twenty members of the Teton Future Farmers chapter plus instructor H A Winner left for Bozeman to compete April 27 to 30 in livestock poultry grain and farm mechanics contests. John Jacobson Bole Man Dies By Own Hand Last Thursday
John Jacobson a 78 year old Bole blacksmith and longtime community resident committed suicide last Thursday using a shotgun held between his knees while seated. Sheriff J L Billings and Coroner Charles G Roberts investigated the death. The body was found by Kermit Dale Belc postmaster who aided the ailing man who had spoken of an approaching end. Jacobson, born March 28 1860 in Taund Norway, opened a blacksmith shop in 1910 then moved to Gale about 1912 to run another shop during Teton county railroad development boom. Funeral services were held Monday at Sever funeral home with Rev Rf Vick officiating. Interment was in Cho Leau cemetery.

B C Price 82 died Sunday morning in town after months of illness due to frail health. Born January 1 1856 at Downs Alabama he lived in Downs then Hutchinson Kansas later moving to Tonk County. Survived by wife Ida R Price who died a year and thirteen days earlier and five children including G T Price and Nettie Nation. Funeral services held at the Methodist church with interment in Cotter cemetery and pallbearers named.

Pastor recalls Choteau life 38 years ago in Montana
Rev Charles E Cunningham recalled Choteau Montana in 1900 when seven saloons existed and his first funeral was for a bartender. He baptized saloon keepers' children, noted a famous October blizzard that killed sheep and people, and helped bring Phil Cole to teach in the Choteau public school. He now lives in Helena after retirement.
