The Chateau LDS cultural hall will be dedicated Saturday April 24 at 7 p m with Elder Marion G Romney of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles presiding. Speakers include Gary Bolander Victor Bowen Stoke president and Bishop Roland Peters. Construction of the hall begun in 1962 cost 115000 with related church facilities added since 1960. Church membership rose from 155 to 205.

Mrs. Charles A. Birk 44 died in El Paso after about a month of illness. A Choteau native, wife of Lt. Col. (Ret.) Charles A. Birk Jr., she was born in Choteau to the late John J. and Mrs. Hannon. Her family moved to Great Falls in the 1930s. Survivors include her husband and son Charles A. III plus several aunts and uncles.
