Peace officers in Teton Glacier Pondera and Cascade counties pursue burglars tied to a wave of breakins last week. Safes were blown at Dutton Farmers Machinery and a Conrad Co op with limited loot. two guns and tools were taken at Conrad. A Browning citizen was robbed of a $50 check and cash. footprint at the Dust near the blown safe suggests a woman aided the raid. Investigators seek a couple and a woman amid several suspects.

George O'Hare Appointed to Sheriff's Staff
George O'Hare, formerly associated with the Choteau Food Market, has been named deputy by Sheriff Tom Dellno. He assumed his duties last Friday and will continue to reside in Choteau. Funeral services for Mrs Phoebe LaBreche wife of Phil LaBreche were held in Browning with Rosary services Sunday evening at Beck Funeral Home. She died April 13 at Columbus hospital Great Falls at age 64. She is survived by her husband a brother Levi Burd and stepson Earl LaBreche in military service. Burial followed at Browning cemetery.
