Death of Mrs Richards in Choteau

Mrs. Richards wife of George Richards Sr died at the family home near Chateau at 3 am Wednesday from rheumatism after a three year illness. Funeral this afternoon, interment in Choteau cemetery. She lived in Choteau seven years since moving from Ohio. born in Maryland. Former matron at Beaver Seminary in Pennsylvania for eight years and seven years at another Pennsylvania seminary. Survived by husband, a brother in Ohio, a sister and three nieces in Pennsylvania. Community extends sympathy.

K D Binks and Ed Baker suffered severe losses from the prairie fire with homestead buildings nearly destroyed. Mr and Mrs Van Balkum formerly of this vicinity welcomed a baby boy. Albertson Bound Over In Helena Horse Theft Case

Robert Albertson faced a preliminary hearing before United States Commissioner Garrett and was bound over to the United States District Court at Helena. Deputy Marshal Drumm took him into custody for transfer. District Attorney J W Freeman led the prosecution with P M Cule defending. Reverend Heizer Narrowly Escapes Illness Restricting Services

Rev Heizer suffered a serious eye affection over the past week forcing him to miss regular services last Sunday and remain in his room until Tuesday. The illness appears to stem from a cold he caught during a trip to Dutton and Collins where he has established new churches. He is better now.

Prairie Fire From Dutton Spreads Toward Priest Butte

A prairie fire that began near or over Dutton burned east toward Priest Butte, damaging one or two sheds on the I ranch. Firefighting crews fought from Sunday afternoon to Monday morning about 8 oclock and by Tuesday morning the blaze remained active east of Dutton.
