Montana Livestock Board Maintains Bang's Disease Campaign
In Helena the state livestock sanitary board, despite reduced appropriations, will pursue a strong two year Bangs disease drive. It approved a $6,000 state share with counties and the federal government matching to total $24,000 for next year. Regulations require vaccines sold in original packaging at 37 to 60 degrees, and prohibit diseased cattle sales at stockyards with quarantine pens. The board also lifted a two year Nebraska cattle import ban after disease conditions improved.
