At an adjourned school board meeting on April 15 the bid for the public school addition was awarded. General contractor F S Dee received 818 340.00. plumbing and heating Geo Dow 4 295.00. wiring H McCullough 249.75. Other bids listed include The Sherwood Company 4 775.00 and Harris Brothers 5 090.00. Great Falls Electric Supply Co 275.00. Excavation begins immediately.

Death of John Koning After Auto Crash
John Koning a former Burton bench resident died in a Boise hospital on April 7 from injuries from a collision between his car and an interurban vehicle between Boise and Nampa. He was alone, regained consciousness briefly but could not recount the accident due to dazed condition. The Koning family planned to return to Montana with Mrs Koning and their two sons the next day.
