Several Vehicles Damaged In Crashes Across Region This Week
Statewide crashes rose after a slow start to the year with 65 fatalities versus 59 a year ago. Patrolman Roger Kelly cited multiple incidents including three large semis, a Dutton van rollover, a Choteau pickup loss of a kingpin, and a Pendroy area lumber truck leaving the road. No injuries were reported in several of the crashes.

Auxiliary plans fund raising for hospital
The Teton Memorial Hospital Auxiliary outlines two events to fund the coronary care room. A bake sale at Ellen's on April 22 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon will donate proceeds. Card parties on April 27 and 28 at 1:30 and 7:30 hosted by Mr and Mrs Malcolm Sussen den require a $2.50 entry, with whist bridge and pinochle and donations welcomed by April 25.

Teton Memorial Hospital Property Sells For $73 000
Teton Memorial Hospital Association officers and board announced Monday they accepted a bid of 73000 from Henry and Ralph Bouma for the old hospital building and property. Two bidders competed with Arnold Hanson of Bynum losing the sale. The single story brick building with daylight basement was built in 1949 and sits on 1142 acres with a small lot.

Choteau Wrestlers Honored After Strong Season
A large crowd attended the Choteau High wrestling banquet honoring the team coaches and cheerleaders. Coach Wayne Krahe praised seniors for leadership and self sacrifice noting the outstanding class will be hard to replace. Special awards went to Mike Hamilton Greg Alzheimer and Rusty Dailey with Dailey posting the quickest pin time of 1 minute 50 seconds. Additional letters and numerals were awarded to a list of seniors juniors sophomores and freshmen. The event also recognized the outgoing senior cheerleader Janice Hodgskiss and team manager Scott Corey.

Watering hours 7 am to 12 noon and 5 to 10 pm in residential areas. City Ordinance 203 on animal control takes effect April 25 requiring rabies vaccination and licensing. a rabies clinic will vaccinate and license dogs April 26 in the Chateau pavilion with $4 rabies shots, $5 unaltered license, $2.40 neutered license. all dogs must be licensed by June 1 and not run at large after April 25. citations may be issued.
