Accident Kills Bob Lemmon Near Fairfield
Robert A. Lemmon, 32, died early Sunday when the car he sat in failed to negotiate a curve on U S Highway 89 a mile west of Fairfield. Driver Thomas Campbell and employer Clifton Swanson were injured and treated at Teton Memorial Hospital. an inquest is planned for next Saturday.

School Levies Carry Two Trustees Elected Saturday Polling
In Chateau districts, the high school levy of 15000 gained 298 yes to 115 no and the elementary levy of 7000 passed 183 to 42. Baker Barney McClue won one trustee post with 176 votes, Glen Stoudt the other with 144, incumbents Al Jaumette 110 and Eddie Howard 63. High school levy results by district show broad support, including 192 for and 33 against in District 1 and 7 for 3 against in District 23.

Police Court fines and jail terms in Judge Irwin and Sulgrove courts
In Judge William Irwin's court William Old Rock alias Walter Old Rock of Heart Butte served five days for no driver's license and 30 days plus a $90 payment on a $150 drinking driving charge. Melvin Stegee of Cut Bank fined $150 for driving while intoxicated. Several others from Walier to Fort Shaw faced fines from $2 to $150 for speeding, reckless driving, improper passing, and other infractions. In Justice Sulgrove's court Wayne Faire forfeited a $10 bond on a night speed limit charge. Multiple city residents paid fines up to $10 for speeding, careless driving, or disturbing the peace. Clyde Darby issued himself a speeding ticket and paid $10.

Magee Brother Dies In Washington Farm Resident
Walter Magee, Teton County undersheriff, attended funeral services Friday in Browning for his brother Joseph Magee, 70. Magee died in a Yakima hospital after double pneumonia. A longtime reservation resident, he later lived in Toppenish, where he ran a small farm, and was born near Robare along Birch Creek.

Funeral rites for George J. Gunther were conducted at the First Methodist Church with Rev. Grant Moore presiding. Attending groups included the Chateau Odd Fellows and the American Legion.
