A meeting is hereby called to permanently organize a commercial club for Choteau and vicinity. It will be held in the courthouse at Choteau at 8 p.m. on Friday April 12, 1912, by order of the committee.

In Elizabeth area Deep Creek near the old post office two Bushman children die from cerebro spinal meningitis. A third child is severely ill. The first death on March 29 was misattributed to a fall from a horse. the physician confirms meningitis as the cause. No further cases reported locally.

Attorney General Opinion on Teton County Seat and Bonds

The Attorney General holds that Teton County commissioners cannot submit the county seat relocation on their own. Electors may move the seat under existing law. The 1911 permanent seat act does not apply. Commissioners must submit a $100,000 coupon bond issue for bridges and highways for voter approval with the purpose stated in the election notice.

Survey Party Reported in Great Falls

The Acantha notes persistent reports from various sources that a survey party is outfitting in Great Falls for a survey through the Veton Pass. No verification exists, as railroad surveys are highly secret until launched and their aims are often unknown. The paper hopes the report proves true.
