Quiet district election leaves question of Perry nomination
In district one the vote totals show William Hodgkiss with eight votes while Fred Perry received a surprise fifteen ballots. Perry’s nomination allegedly lacked proper posting of ten signers and ten days notice, raising questions about the statute’s validity and potential higher authority ruling. The Burton bench precedent from district seven is cited where a nominated candidate won despite more votes for the opponent.
