Rehearsals progress for the three act comedy American Passport by Dana Thomas under Ruby A. Miller. Eighth grade speech arts class to present April 18 in the high school auditorium. Funds from the play go to stage equipment. Royalty play. Music by Miss Roquet's orchestra and glee clubs.
The W S C S met in the Methodist church basement March 26 with Mrs Tumblin as president. After business an interesting report on Dangerous Opportunity by Earle Ballon was given by Mrs Donald Buck Bethune. Lunch followed. All members were present. A food and apron sale at the church basement March 29 drew a large crowd and raised a substantial sum. The H D club will meet April 4 with Miss Conlon presenting furniture selection. venue moved to the church and hosts are Mrs Omar Cook and Mrs Arvil Monkman.
The Ladies Aid meets this afternoon with Mrs G I Tangen. Miss Dorothy Swenson visited from Great Falls and traveled with Mrs F W Smith and friends to the Falls. Mrs Wm Breere died in Black Eagle after a long illness. Sunday school at Farmington schoolhouse reconvenes Sunday at 10 a m.
Ray Tumblin won the Glacier Park district F F A meet held in Fairfield after defeating eight chapters including Dutton Power Fairfield Simms Cascade Chateau Waller and Conrad. He will compete at Bozeman for state honors during high school week and the regional winner will advance to Kansas City for national competition. His speech topic was Future Wheat Production and Marketing.
Mr and Mrs T J Looney of Chateau Montana left Dearborn for New York City after arranging delivery of a 1941 Super Deluxe Ford Tudor Sedan at the Rouge plant. They plan an extended East and South tour returning to Chateau late April stopping to visit Mrs Looney’s mother in Hamilton Montana. They toured Ford facilities including the Rouge plant and Greenfield Village before starting their journey.
Classified notice listing include 400 pounds of yellow mustard seed at 10 cents a pound by John G. Toenyes rower. Also sale of used John Deere tractors and rod weeders from F. G. Curtis John Deere dealer. Gas range four burner in good condition from A. H. McGinnis.
